Just because stuff is being posted doesn't mean that it is useful. This is particularly true of health/medical information where wild and untested claims are posted as established facts, many times in direct contradiction to scientific studies.

Interesting read nonetheless.celticfroghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08816004874287236260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5995754777906978314.post-22595245972343576602010-12-06T19:01:17.826-08:002010-12-06T19:01:17.826-08:00@dobermanmacleod judging from the obesity epidemic...@dobermanmacleod judging from the obesity epidemic, and the statistics of people failing every diet plan they get on including Weight Watchers, the plain fact is that people tend to just be lazydaviddespain.secrethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13271527839470084409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5995754777906978314.post-83647438052591053542010-12-06T11:15:18.601-08:002010-12-06T11:15:18.601-08:00This seems like unchecked techno optimism. This seems like unchecked techno optimism.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16346885169478942026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5995754777906978314.post-6318904272481261842010-12-05T06:08:50.608-08:002010-12-05T06:08:50.608-08:00There are two types of people: those who learn fro...There are two types of people: those who learn from new health technology (like the new Weight Watcher's point system), and those who do not change and continue their unhealthy habits. As an example: I read about the CRdiet (www.crsociety.org) where if you dramatically cut your calorie intake, you will like decades longer and be healthier into old age. I have dutifully related this information to my circle of friends, but no takers. This is a virtual fountain of youth technology and nobody is interested! Humanity's Future: Ossification or Not.
